Marion Cotillard and her longtime partner, Guillaume Canet recently welcomed their second child.
A rep for the French actress confirmed the good news. Cotillard just gave birth to their daughter. She and Canet also have a 5 year-old son, Marcel.
The 41 year-old star first announced her pregnancy in September. She declared the happy news when she addressed the Brad Pitt affair rumors on Instagram.
“I am not used to commenting on things like this nor taking them seriously but as this situation is spiraling and affecting people I love, I have to speak up,” Cotillard posted.
“Firstly, many years ago, I met the man of my life, father of our son and of the baby we are expecting. He is my love, my best friend, the only one that I need,” she continued.
Ever since she made that statement, Cotillard has stayed as private as possible about her pregnancy and family.
Her significant other, Canet is also a French actor and a film director. He was formerly married to Diane Kruger from 2001 to 2006. He was friends with Cotillard years before they began dating in 2007.
The pair began dating a decade ago after they met on the set of the 2003 movie, Love Me If You Dare. In 2011, the couple welcomed their first child.
One year after their son’s birth, Cotillard opened up about motherhood. She revealed to Vogue, “I’ve never been more exhausted. But I’ve never had more energy. This is the paradox of being happy. That’s where it comes from.”
Recently, the Oscar-winning star made headlines when she posted a number of sensual selfies on her Instagram account. The snaps were from what looked to be a day on the set of Rock’n Roll which is a film directed by her partner. The photos showed her face looking sensationally different. She was wearing a wig and prosthetic lips, as she kissed the camera.
At this time, no further details have been shared about Cotillard and Canet’s new little bundle of joy.
