On Friday night, Orlando Bloom got in the merrymaking spirit only some days after his breakup from Katy Perry. He attended the extravagant Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory-themed birthday party of Coldplay’s vocalist, Chris Martin in Malibu, California.
Bloom’s outfit matched Martin’s 40th birthday theme. And apparently, he was in pretty good company. Some of the stars who joined in the festivity included James Corden, Robert Downey Jr., Jay Z, Rob Lowe and Aaron Paul.
The 40 year-old actor was spotted arriving at the event dressed in a boldly patterned black button-down shirt, black jacket, pants and shoes.
However, it is uncertain if Martin’s ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, with whom he continued being friends, attended the party. But, she had posted a sweet birthday greeting to the singer a day earlier. Alongside a picture of their son and daughter, Paltrow wrote the caption, “HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY to the best daddy in the world!!! We ♥ you so much!”
The Pirates of the Caribbean star’s attendance to the occasion marks his first appearance ever since revealing his split from the American singer.
At this time, a few days after the couple announced their breakup, reports are out speculating where they stand as friendly exes, by the looks of it.
A source reveals the actor is “cool” with the pop singer and that the two “still text and talk.” What’s more, an insider also discloses that Bloom and Perry have spent time with each other after putting an end to their 10-month long relationship.
As for whether or not the amicable exes will ever get back together, the notion is not totally unlikely. The source reveals, “He is just not ready for a serious relationship, but getting back together with Perry is not out of the question.”
Nevertheless, Perry herself has expressed her thoughts on the end of their relationship. She eventually put feud rumors to rest. The 32 year-old pop star wrote, “How bout a new way of thinking for 2017. U can still b friends & love ur former partners! No one’s a victim or a villain, get a life y’all!”
Last week, Bloom and Perry’s split-up was publicized almost a year after the two started dating. And only two days prior the announcement, they attended Vanity Fair’s 2017 Oscars after-party.
“Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time,” said reps of both parties.
