Behati Prinsloo is back to strutting her stuff.
The 27 year-old supermodel returned to the catwalk on Friday just five months after she gave birth to daughter, Dusty Rose. Behati took a career break for more than a year while pregnant with her first child with husband, Adam Levine.
Behati made her come back at the Versace’s Fall 2017 show at Milan Fashion Week. Everybody was stunned with her reappearance. And she can’t help but gush over her delight to be back.
The Namibian model exclaimed backstage, “Can you believe it? I can’t believe it either!”
While Behati had to leave baby Dusty at home, Adam couldn’t have been a more supportive husband. The Maroon 5 vocalist showed his support by posting in Instagram. “@behatiprinsloo Taking ‘I’m a cool mom’ to a whole new level. #youresocoolyouresocoolyouresocool,” he wrote along with a shot of his stunning wife at work.
Moreover, Behati shared why she picked Versace for her first catwalk after her maternity break. It turns out she actually had her last runway attendance with the Italian luxury brand. “I was five weeks pregnant and no one knew,” she revealed.
Planning over her Versace comeback began nearly a month ago. However, Behati was not really that confident yet about doing it. “I wasn’t sure if I could pull it together,” the supermodel said. “Pregnancy was such a nice break for me, it was so fun. But it’s also nice to slowly get back—I feel ready.”
Behati rocked the runway with her powerful strut still intact. She wore a sexy navy and orange dress with a matching fur coat. In spite of looking spectacular, she was still uneasy going into the show.
“I was a little nervous, thinking, so, I still know how to walk—I mean, what is it, it’s walking,” she quipped. “But I was excited to come back and see all the girls again and still feel like, you know, I can be independent, I can still do it. To kind of prove something to myself, I think.”
Even though she certainly enjoyed her performance, she didn’t want to spend more than a day away from her adorable daughter. Behati flew into Milan on Thursday and flew out early Saturday.
“Literally in and out, so I’m not away from her for too long. What I’m focused on now is to be a good mom. Everything shifts,” she explained.
