Hilary Duff’s Ex-Husband Mike Comrie Under Investigation For Sexual Battery

Mike Comrie is currently facing rape allegations. The alleged victim asserts Comrie assaulted her sexually on various incidents.

Hilary Duff’s ex-husband and ex-pro hockey player is now involved in an open sexual battery investigation. The LAPD has verified the investigation to the media. Citing confidentiality in such cases, the authority did not confirm that the 36 year-old ex-pro athlete was indeed a suspect.

According to preliminary reports, the alleged victim met the former NHL player at a bar on Saturday night. After their bar rendezvous, she claims Comrie raped her on several occasions.

The same report states that Comrie insists the two of them spent the night together at his home in LA in mutual agreement.

A source disclosed another woman was also present at the time. However, she has not made any complaints. Shortly after the incident, the alleged victim submitted herself to Cedars-Sinai Hospital for a rape kit administration.

Based on the California state law, sexual battery offense involves an individual “touching an intimate part of another person” without their approval.

Comrie struck the headlines in the past after his visit to the renowned steakhouse Mastro’s in Beverly Hills in January 2015. Eyewitnesses said the retired hockey player spent most of the night drinking, pushing away his friends and proposing sex to bar patrons and employees.

Comrie was a professional hockey player for 12 years. He began his career at Edmonton Oilers and played for different teams before retiring his skates in 2012 from Pittsburgh Penguins.

In 2010, he and 29 year-old Duff tied the knot. After separating a couple of years earlier, their divorce was finalized in February 2016. After six years of marriage, their separation was said to be amicable. Both said they remain ‘best friends’ regardless of the split. . The couple has a son Luca, who was born in 2012.

Representatives for Comrie and Duff have yet to comment on the rape issue.
